The Design Miami event based in Basel, Switzerland, is a global design forum. This fair brings together many of the most influential collectors, gallery, designers, curators and critics of the design culture.
This year, from June 11-17, 2018 Atelier LUMA presented four pavilions, able to shift and restructure. This architectural system can adapt to different needs. Featuring an innovative palette of biomaterials developed in Arles and the Camargue region, the pavilions of Atelier LUMA address the question of enhancing a local biotope and how territorial contexts can radically redefine the design process by linking local with global. The pavilions have been designed in collaboration with Cookies and Lukas Wegwerth of III+I.
